Health & Safety Engineer (Cork)

We are currently seeking an Experienced (3+ years) Health & Safety Engineer to join our expanding team in Cork to lead and execute NeoDyne’s Health & Safety Plan. The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate safety activities on NeoDyne projects and develop a positive safety culture within the organisation. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Irish Health & Safety Legislation and extensive experience on a range of complex projects.

Primary Responsibilities/ Duties
- Manage implementation of NeoDyne’s Health & Safety Plan. Act as Safety Lead for all project safety activities and issues.
- Ensure environmental, health & safety (EHS) standards are met, and all EHS procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation, procedures and standards by ensuring all required EHS documentation is up to date and readily available.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management standard.
- Co-ordinate and manage NeoDyne’s safety management system.
- Generate RAMS for site works across all departments, working closely with engineering teams.
- Carry out site visits to audit NeoDyne compliance with safety requirements and plans.
- Carry out routine health & safety audits on NeoDyne offices.
- Ensure NeoDyne’s compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations, including use of PPE at work.
- Play a leading role in investigations and remedial actions associated with all EHS related accidents/incidents.
- Keep abreast of safety, regulatory, and legislative changes through participation in seminars, events, and research.
Qualifications, Skills/ Experience
- Relevant Occupational Health qualification or accreditation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, Science, or allied discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to interpret regulatory and legislative requirements and lead initiatives to meet requirements.
- Experience in liaising with EHS regulators e.g. HSA, EPA etc.
- Knowledge and experience in Energy, Utilities, Food & Beverage or Pharma sectors.
