Experienced Mechanical/Process Engineer
Within our Power Generation & Utilities business, we deliver large-scale critical infrastructure projects that transform the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the energy network moving it towards a greener, more sustainable future. Projects include:
- High-Efficiency centralised power plants in hyperscale data centres
- Large-scale flexible peaking plants providing grid support when renewables are not available
- Embedded renewables
- National Utility projects to meet ambitious sustainability targets.
We are currently seeking experienced (3+ years) mechanical/ process engineers, ideally with Industrial Power Plant or Data Centre experience, to join our expanding teams in Cork and Dublin. Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training.

Primary Responsibilities/ Duties
Depending on role and experience:
- Produce PFDs and P&IDs in collaboration with EI&C teams for Gas, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, Steam, Water, Compressed Air and similar systems.
- Produce requirements specifications for various mechanical equipment and assemblies (gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs,/boilers, pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers etc.)
- Complete detailed Piping Design, including 3D piping design, isometrics, system modelling and stress analysis.
- Process/Piping system flow and pressure modelling.
- Plant Layout Design – General Arrangements.
- Prepare coordinated drawings covering all aspects of installations, including mechanical, electrical and structural elements.
- Site Surveys
- Construction Support
Qualifications, Skills/ Experience
- Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with 3D BIM/Drawing packages such as Revit MEP, Plant 3D or similar
- Experience in preparation of coordinated General Arrangement drawings, PFDs, P&IDs and similar
- Experience with detailed piping design, ideally in Thermal Power Generation industry, using Pipe-Flo, AFT Fathom or similar
